Events: Connecting with Your Community

Thursday, March 30, 2017
Start Time:
5:30 p.m.
End Time:
7:30 p.m.
Location:
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District - Community Room (15320 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka)

This event is for Master Water Stewards in the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.

Do you plan to host an event?  Are you interested in representing MCWD at a community event?  Want to learn more about the resources the District has to offer?

Please join us on March 30th for a continuing education course titled “Events: Connecting with Your Community”.  This training is highly encouraged if you plan to represent MCWD at a community event in the future.

Who: Master Water Stewards in the Minnehaha Creek watershed
What: 2 hours of continuing education credits AND socializing!
When:  Thursday, March 30th, 5:30-7:30 pm
Where: MCWD office (15320 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka)

Why: The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District wants to maintain a presence throughout all of our communities, but it is impossible to staff every event on our own.  We need YOU to represent MCWD at events – plus you earn volunteer hours!

We’ll start with snacks and networking at 5:30 pm, followed by a short training, an opportunity to interact with our displays and resources, and then some more socializing with fellow MCWD stewards!

The training will include roles & expectations, event prep & setup, tips & tricks for communicating with the public, and a demonstration of our displays/exhibits.

RSVP below to attend!  Contact Education staff Darren Lochner or Sarah Fellows with questions.

Please note if you have any food allergies.
