MCWD Update COVID-19: Open Meeting Declaration

Declaration Under Minnesota Open Meeting Law, §13D.021

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §13D.021, subdivision 1, I hereby determine that on the basis of the general course of the COVID-19 health pandemic, and specifically Emergency Executive Orders 21-11, 21-21, and 21-23 issued by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, it no longer is imprudent or infeasible for the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Board of Managers, and any committee thereof, to convene in person and in a public setting in accordance with requirements of the Minnesota Open Meeting Law. For this reason, my declaration of March 20, 2020, providing the basis for meetings by telephone or other electronic means, hereby is withdrawn.MCWD is continuing to follow state and federal guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of its partners and staff, however the office is open as of June 1, 2021.

Submit permit information electronically

 MCWD recently launched a new online permitting portal that makes it easier for applicants to apply for, track, modify and pay for permits in a comprehensive and intuitive online digital format. MCWD will continue to accept paper and PDF applications until June 18, 2021 to ensure a smooth transition for applicants and partners. After June 18  paper and PDF applications will no longer be accepted. Contact permitting staff with questions at or 952.641.4532.
