Aquatic Invasive Species Resources

The State of Minnesota is a leader in the fight against aquatic invasive species (AIS). MCWD supports the leadership provided by the MN Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR), MN counties, and MN AIS Research Center (MAISRC) in prevention, early detection, and control and management of aquatic invasive species.

If you are concerned you may have found a new invasive species, contact your local DNR AIS Specialist, Keegan Lund, at 651-259-5828.

For more information on local AIS prevention efforts, please visit the resources provided by Hennepin County and Carver County linked below. If you would like to get involved, please visit the MN AIS Research Center’s website on how to become a citizen AIS Detector.
