18-716: Public Notice

The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) is reviewing Permit 18-716 for conformance with the District’s rules. MnDOT is proposing to replace the bridge deck that carries County Road 101/Central Avenue over Hwy 12 in the City of Wayzata. MCWD regulates the project under our Erosion Control, Wetland Protection, Floodplain Alteration, and Waterbody Crossings & Structures rules. One outfall will be placed at the edge of wetland located to the southwest of the bridge. Riprap for energy dissipation will be placed at the end of the outfall and will result in a WCA approved de minims impact of approximately 50 square feet. There are no proposed changes to the 100-year upstream or downstream floodstage.

Contact Heidi Quinn with questions or concerns regarding the permit at hquinn@minnehahacreek.org or 952-641-4504. Additional project information can be found at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy12andcountyroad101bridge/

Permits are reviewed by staff for compliance with District rules. Interested parties may request that the permit be considered by the MCWD Board of Managers. Requests for board consideration must be in writing and received at the MCWD offices prior to 4:30 PM, March 27th, 2019
