Permit #24-251: Lake Nokomis/Hiawatha Trail Improvements and Pedestrian Bridge
The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) is currently reviewing a permit application for a project in areas southwest and north of Lake Nokomis, and southeast of Lake Hiawatha. The project, proposed by the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, involves bike and pedestrian trail improvements, increased signage, and a pedestrian bridge across the Minnehaha Creek.
MCWD reviews for compliance only with applicable MCWD rules. This project triggers our Erosion Control, Floodplain Alteration, Waterbody Crossings and Structures, and Stormwater Management rules. The city, county, or another public agency may require other permits or approvals.
