
MCWD Classified with Moderate Drought
The U.S. Drought Monitor map releases an update every Thursday. The June 13, 2023 drought map update for Minnesota, shown below, identifies that approximately 18.85% of the state has been classified with moderate drought, including the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD). Impacts associated with a moderate drought classification include lower than normal lake and stream levels.
