Flood Watch in Effect Through Wednesday AM

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasted the potential for over 5 inches of precipitation between Monday and Friday this week in the Minnehaha Creek Watershed, with up to 3 inches predicted on Monday. The forecast has changed significantly since then, and as of 5 PM on Monday, June 17, 2024, the NWS is now predicting approximately 3 inches of rainfall spread out across the week, with roughly 0.5-0.75 inches falling each day through Friday.

Although the NWS has downgraded the forecast, there is still a slight risk for heavy rains this week and a flood watch remains in effect for Hennepin and Carver counties through Wednesday morning.
