Who You Will Work With – The Team:
The project maintenance and land management (PMLM) program’s purpose is to ensure the continuing function and value of MCWD’s projects and lands. You will work closely with the PMLM manager to approach maintenance together as creative problem solvers, finding space for both continued function and long-term improvements. The nature of the work requires collaborating across programs, providing support and technical expertise or building teams to drive initiatives forward. This collaboration is at the core of the MCWD team who form a supportive and passionate team who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Safeguard long-term performance of MCWD project investments
- Deliver high-quality maintenance and repair projects
- Operate and maintain critical regional infrastructure
- Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive public resource
What You Will Bring to MCWD:
- A passion for advancing MCWD’s Balanced Urban Ecology vision of watershed management
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in natural resources, environmental sciences or related field
- 2-5 years experience in vegetation management, natural resource restoration, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of the design and maintenance of stormwater and vegetation restoration projects
- An ability to spot relevant patterns and issues, and forge new alternative ways forward
- The capacity to track, digest, and manage detail while maintaining a strategic perspective
- A drive to stretch, learn, and grow in a high performing environment
- Flexible thinking, adaptability, and a desire to actively manage change
- A propensity for interpersonal communications, and the ability to build consensus
- A drive to build lasting relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders
