MCWD Classified as Abnormally Dry 
The U.S. Drought Monitor map is updated every Thursday. The May 30, 2023 drought map update for Minnesota, shown below, identifies that approximately 65.63% of the state has been classified as abnormally dry, including the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD). Impacts associated with an abnormally dry classification include declining lake and stream levels.
