Permit #26-146: Sunset Drive Natural Gas Service Improvements

The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) is currently reviewing a permit application for a project along Sunset Drive in Spring Park. The project, proposed by CenterPoint Energy, involves improving natural gas service in the area by installing approximately 2,000 feet of 6-inch-diameter plastic natural gas pipeline and associated services using the directional boring method to replace the existing 6-inch-diameter steel pipeline, which will be abandoned in-place.

MCWD reviews for compliance only with applicable MCWD rules. This project triggers our Erosion Control and Floodplain Alteration rules. The city, county, or another public agency may require other permits or approvals.
